When can I take the CTA exams?
The CTA tax exams take place twice a year in May and November. The Computer Based Exams (CBEs) can be sat at anytime, depending on availability.
How do I register as a student?
You must be registered as a student for at least 4 months before sitting your first exam. For May, this would be the 31 December and for November it would 30 June. View further details on how to register as a student.
How do I enter for the CTA exams?

When’s the deadline to enter for the CTA tax exams?
May session: You can apply between mid-December and the last day of February.
November session: You can apply between mid-June and the last day of August.
How much do the CTA exams cost?

Sitting online exams, you’ll use a purpose-built exam application, Exam4, on your laptop or desktop computer. You can sit the exam at a location of your choice, such as your home or office. Find out more information on the online exams.
