Eligible countries
ADIT registration is available in around 70 countries and territories across the world.
What does this mean?
Following a strategic review, we are only able to accept new ADIT registrations from prospective students based in selected eligible countries and territories.
We are pleased to continue to deliver the ADIT qualification to new students in approximately 70 countries and territories. These include all major existing ADIT markets, and account for around 95% of the pre-existing ADIT student population.
You can find the full list of eligible countries and territories below.
The restrictions are based on location rather than citizenship so, as long as you have your address and bank account in an eligible country, you will be able to pursue the ADIT qualification even if you are originally from a country that is not listed.
But I'm already an ADIT student
If you are a current ADIT student who registered before 1 January 2025 and you are not based in an eligible country or territory, your existing student registration will remain valid until its scheduled expiry date. You will therefore still be eligible to sit your remaining exams and complete your qualification with us.
The restriction only applies to students seeking to register onto the ADIT qualification or after 1 January 2025.

Are there any other eligibility requirements?
Other than being based in an eligible country, the only other formal requirement to pursue the ADIT qualification is that you hold a valid email address.
However, ADIT is an advanced level qualification, so we recommend that prospective ADIT students hold either:
- an undergraduate degree in tax or a related discipline (such as law, accountancy, finance or economics);
- professional certification in a related subject (such a Chartered Accountancy qualification); or
- professional experience working in a tax role.
