EU Direct Tax module

This module gives you the required knowledge, skills and understanding of international tax issues relating to the direct taxation of companies and individuals within the EU that you need to succeed in your career. Your learning will cover EU law as defined in the treaties, the role of various EU institutions in applying and interpreting cross-border tax law, and the interplay between EU law and the tax regimes of member states.

Who is it for?

The EU Direct Tax module is aimed at professionals around the world, particularly those advising or working with multinational corporations and private clients. ADIT is suitable for senior level professionals, managers or those working towards a senior level.

What does it cover?

The EU and international tax law - 15%. The legal background - 10%. State aid rules and taxation - 10%. Administrative cooperation between revenue authorities - 5%. The future of EU tax law - 5%.

The exam consists of three parts. Part A consists of two mandatory questions worth 25 marks each. Part B consists of two questions worth 20 marks each, of which candidates are required to answer one. Part C consists of four questions worth 15 marks each, of which candidates are required to answer any two.
