The University of Valencia is the most renowned university institution offering legal courses in Spain, according to different international rankings. The Postgraduate Course in International Taxation is organised by the Research Group of International, Comparative and Constitutional Studies (ETICCs Group) led by Prof. Dr F. Alfredo García Prats. The course is structured into 9 units, with a large number of explanatory videos on the subject, accompanied by the most relevant materials for the understanding of international taxation: international double taxation and methods for its correction; analysis of the effects of imputation and exemption methods; the holding company regime; the advantages of the participation exemption regime; taxation of non-residents; the concept of tax residence; double tax treaties; the rules of allocation of tax jurisdiction in double tax treaties; permanent establishments; transfer pricing regulations; valuation methods; the Mutual Agreement Procedure; international tax arbitration; international de-taxation and remedial measures; the principle of non-discrimination; the influence of EU law; and anti-abuse measures, especially in light of the BEPS Action Plan and the Anti-Abuse Directive.
