Promoting ADIT at IFA 2025 Lisbon
The CIOT is thrilled to be exhibiting its flagship international tax qualification, ADIT, at this year’s International Fiscal Association (IFA) Annual Congress in Lisbon, Portugal from 5 to 9 October.

We have been regular exhibitors at IFA events around the world since 2010, and the Annual Congress is one of the most important international tax events, bringing together leading practitioners, decision-makers and thought leaders from across the globe. Attended by representatives from governments, legal and accounting sectors, industry and academia, the Congress will see professionals gather for inspiring discussions about the future of international tax.
Topics at this year’s Congress will involve wealth taxation, the implementation of Pillar Two, the intersection between tax and ESG, and the taxation of globally mobile workers in the 21st century.
The event is expected to attract attendees from across the world, particularly from Europe, Africa and Latin America, and will be the perfect forum to promote international tax learning to professionals and their employers. The Portuguese tax community will of course be particularly well-represented, and we look forward to showcasing ADIT to practitioners and firms from across Portugal’s international tax profession.
In addition to ADIT, our Diploma in Tax Technology (DITT) is available to candidates in the majority of European countries, including Portugal, and the ever-increasing practical importance of tax technology skills globally means that DITT is sure to attract interest.
Members of the ADIT Sub-Committee and Academic Board will also be in attendance, and the ADIT exhibition will feature ‘meet and greet’ sessions with some of these leading figures in the international tax community.
We will be exhibiting alongside the International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC), a US-based research and education organisation that promotes initiatives to encourage investment in transition and developing economies. ITIC shares our goal of promoting tax understanding around the world, having exhibited with us at previous IFA Congresses in Berlin and Cape Town. Find more information about ITIC’s work at www.iticnet.org.
If you’re an ADIT student, graduate or International Tax Affiliate, or an ATT or CIOT student or member, and you or your organisation is planning to attend the Congress, be sure to visit our exhibition stand to talk about your experience and discover the benefits and skills that continued international tax learning can offer.
