Philip Baker OBE is a barrister and KC specialising in international tax issues for corporate, private and governmental clients, practising from Field Court Tax Chambers in London. He has appeared in cases before courts and tribunals at all levels, including the House of Lords, Supreme Court, Privy Council and European Court of Justice. Prior to becoming a barrister, he taught law at the School of Oriental and African Studies and was subsequently a Visiting Professorial Fellow at Queen Mary University of London.

Philip is the author of Double Taxation Conventions and International Tax Law, as well as being the editor of the International Tax Law Reports and joint editor of the British Tax Review. Philip has served on several international committees, including the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association. He has lectured in taxation internationally, is currently a Visiting Professor at Oxford University.
