Chloe Burnett is a Senior Counsel at Sixth Floor Selbourne Wentworth Chambers, based in Sydney, specialising in taxation and revenue law, as well as commercial, regulatory and public law. She also serves as Vice-President of the Australian Branch of the International Fiscal Association. Her expertise in Australian and international tax law has led to her representation in the high-profile SingTel and Chevron transfer pricing cases; the News Australia Holdings and Citigroup Part IVA cases; and the Consolidated Media and Cable & Wireless buy-back cases. She previously worked as a solicitor at Allens; as Associate to the Hon. Justice Edmonds of the Federal Court; at Macquarie Bank in Sydney and at Slaughter & May in London.

Chloe has published widely on tax law and statutory interpretation, and is a worldwide authority on transfer pricing of financial transactions and interest barrier and thin capitalisation principles. She has delivered lectures internationally at institutions including the Max Planck Institute, King’s College London and New York University. Chloe is also actively involved in education and teaching, instructing on Statutory Interpretation in the LLM programme at the Sydney School of Law.
