Helen Whiteman

Chair of the webinar, Helen Whiteman joined the CIOT in September 2019 following being Chief Executive of CILEx Regulation Limited, a role she held since 2015. She studied Law at De Montfort University, before undertaking a Masters in IT at the University of Warwick. As Chief Executive of the CIOT Helen’s vision is to strengthen the tax profession through leading the CIOT membership, education and driving a relevant policy agenda.

Tax Technology Lead at Deliveroo

Shan Sun

Panellist, Shan is the Tax Technology Lead at Deliveroo, Shan works with the engineering and finance departments of the business to optimise tax systems and processes, specifically in relation to data and ERP. The goal of tax technology at Deliveroo is to modernise the tax function to become data-driven and proactively adding value across the entire business. Much of Shan's work focuses on ensuring that tax relevant data (including sensitive personal and financial data) is consistent, accountable, and accurate. Prior to Deliveroo, Shan worked as the Tax Innovation Lead at Unilever. She started her tax career as a Transfer Pricing Specialist.

Tax Technology Consulting Partner, Deloitte

Frankie Jell

Panellist Frankie is a Partner in Deloitte’s Tax Technology Consulting practice with experience in large scale tax transformation projects. Frankie is highly experienced in partnering with organisations to deliver transformation across people, process and systems for the digitisation of tax. She has specific experience in developing and implementing solutions to respond to new regulatory reporting requirements including Automatic Exchange of Information, iXBRL, Digital Services Tax and most recently Pillar 2.
