UK Internal Market Scheme Webinar 19 March – moving goods into Northern Ireland

HMRC and the Trader Support Services (TSS) will be hosting a joint webinar regarding the UK Internal Market Scheme (UKIMS) and the benefits that this scheme offers businesses moving goods into Northern Ireland.

The UK Internal Market Scheme allows businesses to declare goods that are brought into Northern Ireland for sale or final use by end consumers in Northern Ireland, under the status ‘not at risk’, meaning no duty is charged if arriving from free circulation in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). ‘At risk’ goods are charged the applicable EU duty. The UK Internal Market Scheme authorisation will also provide access to the ‘green lane’ when open in September 2024.

The webinar is at 3-4pm on Tuesday 19 March. This session will be of interest to businesses that move goods from GB to Ni, those with a UKIMS authorisation and those who do not. It is not a requirement to be an active TSS user to attend.
