Register as a candidate

To register as a DITT candidate:

  • First, pay to register as a DITT candidate with the CIOT.
  • If you have an existing relationship with the CIOT (or ATT), log into the Portal with your current details and then click on the Education link in the top menu bar to register onto a new route and select DITT.
  • If you are new to the CIOT, create your account via the Portal and start your registration with your email address.
  • Once registered you will receive a confirmation email, with a link and instructions to purchase your access to the Tolley online course.
  • During the registration process you will need to choose one module from two routes. The other ten modules are compulsory.

Eligible countries

Following a strategic review, from 1 January 2025, we are only able to accept DITT registrations from selected eligible countries and territories.

We are pleased to continue to deliver the DITT qualification for new candidates in approximately 70 countries and territories. These account for around 98% of the current DITT candidate population. You can find the full list of eligible countries and territories below:

Cooling off period

If your situation changes after you have completed your DITT candidate registration application and you are no longer able to pursue the qualification, you may cancel your DITT candidate registration within one month of the date you submitted your application. You will be refunded via your payment method, minus a £15 administration fee.

You can only cancel your registration if you have not started your learning with Tolley, and the refund will only relate to your DITT candidate registration fee.

To cancel your registration, you must inform us in writing.
