New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) webinar - 5 March 2024
The Joint Customs Consultative Committee has contacted its stakeholders, including the CIOT, to provide information about an introductory webinar to provide further information about the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) phase 5 (NCTS5), which will be introduced on 1 July 2024. The NCTS5 may be of interest to importers/exporters and their intermediaries/advisors, where they use transit to move goods to the EU and Common Transit Convention countries. The original launch date was scheduled as 16 November 2023, but industry highlighted that this date clashed with peak periods of moving goods cross border, so the launch was delayed.
To prepare users for the change, HMRC are conducting a series of webinars to provide key information around NCTS5; what it means for users and how users can prepare/get involved. The first webinar will be held at 1pm on 5 March 2024 and the login link is NCTS5 Webinar 050324 @13.00 hours. It is expected to last around an hour with the following agenda:
