CIOT and ATT Harrow and North London Branch

26 Apr 2021

Welcome to the Harrow and North London Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and Association of Taxation Technicians

Welcome from your Branch Chair, Harry Ross

Harrow and North London Branch has been in existence for over 30 years and is the second busiest branch in the country.  We put on some 20 professional learning events each year, more than enough to cover the CPD requirements of CIOT and ATT members.

The branch demographic consists of practitioners from mainly small and medium sized firms and the subject matter of the programme endeavours to reflect their practice interests.  The programme thus includes UK-international tax matters, as a number of branch members have ethnically focused practices, together with taxation of OMBs and property taxation.  It also covers recent tax developments and updates/refreshers on all the major taxes.

We welcome all CIOT and ATT members to our events and also students and members of other learned bodies with an interest in tax.

Meet the Harrow and North London Branch Committee

Harry Ross

Harrow and North London Branch Chair

Martin Levin

Martin began visiting Harrow Branch in mid 1980s, beginning as a student officer. He represented the Branch on the local radio and was featured in a Budget Night phone in and more recently on 1 March 2020 on LBC answering questions on IR35. Acknowledging that he might be of an age where he could, "put his feet up" he is still very much an active member of the Branch and is very open to mentoring and supporting younger members of the tax profession who may have questions and glean knowledge from his years of experience, Martin considers it his duty to pass on knowledge to those who may benefit. A life-long proponent of the value of volunteering, during lockdown, Martin has been presenting on Internet Radio in his local area, playing happy music to singalong too and doing his bit to keep up everyone's spirits!
