MEET OUR SPEAKERS

Nick Stobbs, CEO and co-founder, Syntax AI Limited

Nick is a third-time founder with a career that spans both tax and technology. He began in corporate tax at PEM, Cambridge’s leading independent firm, before founding and exiting Vequity Intelligence (a specialist share valuation practice) in 2016. He later held senior commercial roles at specialist tax practices, including Markel Tax, before launching Tax on Demand in 2021 - an early move to automate tax workflows, ahead of the GenAI-led technology shift that would later reshape the industry.

In 2025, he co-founded Syntax, a UK-based tax technology company that encodes expert-level tax knowledge into deterministic software. Backed by SFC Capital and leading industry angels, Nick now leads a team of engineers and Chartered Tax Advisers focused on making Syntax the category leader in automated tax reviews.

Robert de la Rue, Tax Technology Partner, RSM

Rob De La Rue is a Tax Technology Partner at RSM, where he leads the Tax Technology Consulting team in the creation and adoption of innovative technology for client organisations and RSM teams who serve them. His work encompasses both the technical and strategic aspects of technology use in Tax, with extensive involvement in tax-team transformation, technology adoption, and change management. With a diverse career spanning various branches of Tax, including roles at HMRC, as an in-house Head of Tax, and as a tax consulting Partner, Rob is passionate about leveraging technology to amplify the impact of tax professionals within business, and within society at large. Rob is a former chair of the CIOT Commerce and Industry Group and serves on panels addressing the benefits, ethics and risks associated with AI development.

Amit Dhingra, GenAI/ML Senior Sales Specialist, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amit is a GenAI/ML Senior Sales Specialist for AWS in the UK. He works as a trusted advisor to customers by providing guidance on how they can unlock new value streams, solve key business problems, and deliver results for their customers using AWS generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) services.
