Customs intermediaries: 31 December is the end of the transition period relating to Import Control System customs entries in France for GB exporters

HMRC’s Joint Customs Consultative Committee has forwarded communications to its stakeholders produced by the French customs authorities in relation to the end of the transition period on 31 December moving from ICS1 (Import Control System 1) to ICS2. In summary, beyond this date, for road and rail vectors and for unaccompanied trailers, operators will no longer be authorised to lodge Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) in the former French national system ICS(1).
