Businesses can move all export declarations to the Customs Declaration Service from Monday 4 March 2024

HMRC contacted Joint Customs Consultative Committee (JCCC) stakeholders with a communications update advising that all export declarations can be made via the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) from Monday 4 March if desired. The anticipated launch date for exporters was 30 March but CDS is now ready for use. 

Please note that exporters needing more time for the changeover can still use CHIEF until Tuesday 4 June 2024.
