Getting the most from your CTA studies in 2020

Event provided by BPP

To help you get the most from your CTA studies and to boost your confidence, BPP will be holding a FREE Live webinar for all BPP and non-BPP students on Tuesday 28 January 2020 at 6pm via their Online Classroom ‘OCR’ Live platform to help you with the following:

  • Study tips and coping with the volume
  • Preparing an effective revision folder
  • Getting the most out of the legislation
  • Providing you with recording links to how to use the legislation
  • Importance of the CIOT exam focus and skills sessions to be held in March 2020

The session will be run by two of their tax tutors. The OCR Live software will allow you to:

  • Access the course from any location (home or work)
  • Ask your tutor questions as they arise in class
  • Interact with fellow CTA students 

Other Key Information: 

  • The course will run from 6pm to 8.30pm.
  • Details of how to access the course will be sent prior to the course
  • You will need a good internet connection
  • After the session you will be sent a link to the recording

Finance Act 2019 Update

Sheridan Gray, one of  the tutors from Tolley Exam Training will give you guidance on some of the most recent changes to the legislation and identify some of the most topical areas that could be examinable this May. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions or talk to the tutor about any queries you may have relating to the examinations.

Using the Legislation and Helpful Highlighting; Tips and Tricks for the CTA student

Nicole Neville, one of the tutors from Tolley Exam Training will give you guidance on how to get the best out of the legislation to aid both your studies and on the day in the exam hall. She will aim to give you a better understanding of how to use the legislation and also identify some key areas to highlight. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions or talk to the tutor about any queries you may have relating to the examinations.

This is a recording of a special Q&A event run by the CIOT London Branch on 1 July 2014, in which John Preston, Chairman of the CIOT Examination Committee, and Anne Fairpo, CIOT President, answered questions about how the CTA exams are set, marked and moderated, and gives guidance on how students could improve their marks.
