As a CIOT student, you are strongly recommended to follow a properly structured course of study designed specifically to prepare candidates for the CTA examination.
The course providers offers a variety of distance learning, introductory, link and revision courses. Most candidates would benefit from following a distance learning course AND attending evening classes and/or intensive revision courses.
When deciding upon your course provider, we recommend that you ask questions concerning the qualifications and expertise of the lecturers, the number of students on the course, the number sitting the examination and examination pass rates.
Students are urged to do as much written work in their preparation as possible. Failure in the examinations is very often clearly due to a lack of preparation, especially insufficient practice at answering questions.
The Institute would like to remind all students wishing to take the CTA examination that it is up to them to register with the Institute at least four months before they wish to sit the examination and enter separately for the examination.
Students should not expect the tutorial bodies to be responsible for your registration with the Institute or for your examination entry.
The list that follows is compiled from information provided by the organisations listed. The Chartered Institute of Taxation does not control or supervise any of these course providers or their courses and is in no way responsible for their conduct or content.
For precise details on dates, enrolment and course content, please contact the individual course providers directly. Students should request full details before registering with a course provider.
