The CA CTA Joint Programme – another route to CIOT membership
The CIOT is delighted to have entered into partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). Both Institutes have a proud history of collaboration on numerous policy and CPD initiatives.
About the CA CTA Joint Programme
Combining the prestigious CA accountancy and CTA tax qualifications, this joint programme enables students to accelerate their professional development and achieve their designatory letters in as little as three or three and a half years.
Students may specialise in one of three areas of tax:
- Owner-Managed Businesses
- Major Corporates
- Indirect Taxation
One of the above CTA papers will take the place of the ICAS TPS Taxation paper.
Benefits of the CA CTA
Because this programme combines two study routes, there is a reduction in overall study time, the overall cost and the overlap in course content has been removed. Employers can be assured of no reduction in the breadth or quality of the course content.
- Become a specialist in tax and accounting
- Become dual qualified within three or three and a half years
- Reduced time
- Reduced costs
- Reduced syllabus overlap
