Below is given the Inland Revenue information relating to the helpline speed dial facility, received by the CIOT as part of the tax credits consultation process. From Monday 21 June there will be a change in the service provided by the Employer Helpline in relation to tax credit enquiries. From this date, where an enquiry needs to be referred to a TCO operator, the call will be transferred directly to the appropriate team. The existing call-back referral process will still be in place, but only as a contingency measure when all available lines into TCO are busy at the time of a call or when a call is made outside normal office hours (ie before 8:30am or after 5:00pm).
