Collections and Services
The Library has an extensive collection of current and historical publications on UK and EU tax law and tax administration, as well as current material on overseas and international tax. It has access to online tax research service Lexis Library, which, together with a range of CD-ROM based publications, can be accessed by personal visitors during normal office hours. There is also an historical collection of tax ephemera including forms, booklets and other items of interest.
The Library carries out requests for research to identify relevant documents for a relevant topic (no technical enquiries, please) and provides a document delivery service. Items can be scanned and emailed, or copied and faxed or posted, subject to charges for copyright and copying where appropriate.
When contacting the Library it will be helpful if enquiries can be as specific as possible as the librarians are not tax law specialists.
Where material is photocopied there is a charge of 25p per sheet plus VAT. Similarly, a charge of 50p plus VAT is made for faxing material. At present material cannot be sent by email. Payment may be made by cheque. You may purchase a photocopy card to use the photocopiers.
You should note that all material in the library is subject to copyright. The law of copyright restricts the amount of material which can be photocopied from any book or journal and a form will need to be signed for photocopied material supplied by the library staff.
The full catalogue of material can be viewed on the King's College website.
