Paul Aplin, a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) has been elected Vice President of the ICAEW.
CIOT President Chris Jones said:
“Congratulations to Paul.
“I am delighted that there continues to be strong tax representation at senior level at ICAEW especially in the light of the ongoing digital revolution.
“The two institutes already work closely together on a range of technical matters as well as on the Joint Programme, which enables students to achieve the CTA and the ICAEW Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA) at the same time. There are now almost 240 people on the Joint Programme representing more than 25 accountancy firms and other businesses. I look forward to this work continuing.”
Paul Aplin said:
