ADIT fees

Fees for ADIT students are currently as follows:

  • Student registration: £200
  • Exam entry: £185 per exam paper
  • Extended essay registration: £185
  • Modular certificate: £25*
  • Standalone certificate (Principles of International Taxation; Transfer Pricing): £25 per certificate†

To achieve ADIT, students must complete three exams, or two exams and an extended essay. Therefore, the minimum total fee payable to the CIOT for a student completing ADIT (assuming no resits are required) is £755.

* Students automatically receive an ADIT certificate upon achievement of the full qualification. Modular certification is available, on demand, to students who have completed both Paper 1 - Principles of International Taxation and any ADIT option paper. For further information about modular certificates, please click here.

† Standalone certification is also available to students who have completed either Paper 1 - Principles of Interational Taxation or Paper 3 - Advanced International Taxation (Thematic): 3.03 Transfer Pricing option. For further information about standalone certificates, please click here.


Key dates

The following dates and deadlines apply to the June 2018 ADIT exam session:

  • 31 December 2017: Deadline for students to request additional exam centre
  • 31 January 2018: Student registration deadline
  • 28 February: Exam entry deadline
  • 30 March: Deadline for late entries (subject to £100 late entry fee)
  • 12-14 June: Exams take place
  • 9 August: Notification of results via email

The following dates and deadlines apply to the December 2018 ADIT exam session:

  • 29 June 2018: Deadline for students to request additional exam centre
  • 31 July: Student registration deadline
  • 12 September: Exam entry deadline
  • 28 September: Deadline for late entries (subject to £100 late entry fee)
  • 11-13 December: Exams take place
  • 7 February 2019: Notification of results via email
