The Brazil option was introduced to the ADIT qualification in 2018, and is included among the jurisdictions currently available for the Module 2: Advanced International Taxation (Jurisdiction) category. The ADIT qualification as a whole covers eleven national jurisdictions, in addition to the European Union, and represents roughly two thirds of the global economy.
The Brazil option is aimed at international tax professionals across Brazil, and tax practitioners around the world who deal with cross-border tax issues relating to Brazil. It provides a global benchmark of quality and achievement in the international taxation system of Brazil.
“I am delighted to become aware of the availability in Brazil of the ADIT credential, which includes a specific Brazil exam option and is supported by preparation courses in international taxation. It will be extremely relevant and useful for the Brazilian tax community for two basic reasons: allowing Brazilian law firms, tax consultancies and in-house tax departments in multinationals to hire accredited and clearly qualified professionals; and providing additional educational opportunities for tax professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge in this very important field in Brazil today.”

In order to achieve the ADIT qualification, students must pass Module 1: Principles of International Taxation and any two option modules. Full details of the Brazil option syllabus can be found below. Success in the Brazil option is achieved by passing a supervised three hour written exam available in countries around the world (including Brazil), in either a handwritten or on-screen format.
