Here you will find a message from Rosalind Baxter, Institute Secretary and Director of Education regarding the cancellation of the June 2020 exams, which was emailed to exam candidates on Tuesday 14 April.
We hope that you, and those close to you, are keeping safe and well.
We appreciate that you have been awaiting news on the June 2020 exams, and we thank you for your patience during these exceptionally difficult circumstances.
The duration of this crisis is unclear, but we do know that we need to take every action we can to protect the health and wellbeing of our students, partners and colleagues. Following official guidance, I can confirm that we must cancel the June 2020 exam session.
I’m sure this will come as a great disappointment to you, as it has to us.
We aim to exercise as much flexibility as possible in these circumstances to ensure that you are able to complete the qualification.
We will take the following steps:
- Expand the December 2020 session to include all exam options and both the handwritten and on-screen methods
- Transfer your exam entry to December 2020
- Extend your student registration by six months
- Extend any current exam passes you hold by six months
This will take a little bit of time for us to process and we’re working hard to make these changes as quickly as possible, so please don’t contact us if these don’t show up straight away in your online account.
