Unlisted special centres
If there isn’t a local exam centre available, you can also request to take your exam at a special centre not currently listed.
If you would like to request an unlisted special centre, you will need to do one of the following:
- Enter online, including your preferred location in the available field
- Emailing the Education Team, with “Unlisted ADIT Exam Centre” as your subject field
You must place your request six months before the exam session, by the following deadlines:
- For June exam sessions
Place your request by 31 December
- For December exam sessions
Place your request by 30 June
Availability of unlisted special centres
All requests will be reviewed, and approved subject to various factors. If it is not possible for us to arrange an exam centre at the location you have requested, you will be offered the opportunity to sit your exams at another exam centre.
Where can you find out the exam centre address?
We will send out an email to exam candidates with information relevant to the exam you have entered for, including:
- Exam centre address
- Exam centre contact details (if sitting at a special exam centre)
- Precise start time of the exam
Exam centre addresses are not publicly available, and will only be shared with candidates scheduled to sit.
The exam centre location may change, so you should check venue details carefully every session.
How do you pay the special exam centre fees?
All special exam centres (listed and unlisted) require you to pay an extra charge, in addition to the standard exam entry fee.
Though not guaranteed, the fee will usually be around £60-150 per exam.
Fees are set by the exam centre, and may fluctuate depending on various factors, including local costs and prices and the number of candidates sitting at each centre.
You should make sure you’re prepared to pay the special exam centre fee before you enter to sit the exams. If you don’t pay the fee, you will not be permitted to sit.
What if you’ve deferred or cancelled your exam entry?
Special exam centres may charge a cancellation fee to cover any costs incurred. You will need to check with the centre to find out whether there are any outstanding fees for you to pay.
