Two years of HMRC: It's a question of balance

HMRC will soon be celebrating their second anniversary. At the CIOT's Spring Conference, the author looked back at those first two years and considered some of the ways that attitudes and approaches have differed from what went before. Overall, HMRC's more aggressive stance has been firmly directed at cracking down on tax avoidance, and it is large businesses that have been in the front line.
