Improving the operation of PAYE: CIOT comments
The comments of the CIOT on the discussion document issued by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on 27 July 2010. The discussion document puts forward two options (Real Time Information and Centralised Deductions) as possible ways of evolving the operation of PAYE and describes a world where essentially employers relinquish most of their PAYE responsibilities (apart from monthly reporting) and HMRC take on coding, deductions, etc. sent to HMRC on 23 September 2010, are available to download here in Adobe (pdf) format.
