6 September 2007: HMRC have today published the first edition of a bi-monthly newsletter aimed at tax agents. It is predominantly aimed at those agents who do not work in large firms, as many of the latter receive their own internal updates. It consists of a series of short summaries of topics covering both technical subjects and those of an administrative nature, with links through to the website. We welcome the bulletin as a useful means for HMRC to communicate with agents from smaller practices. The statements are those of HMRC, and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the CIOT.
If you have any comments on this publication we would be pleased to hear your views and details of anything that you would like to see in future editions. You can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with 'HMRC Agent Bulletin - FAO Tina Riches' in the subject line.
In addition, HMRC would like to hear any comments, which you can send to them directly via a structured e-mail on their website at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/comment/index.htm by selecting "Tax Agents section of the Practitioner Zone" from the menu.
