The Court of Justice of the European Union has decided a large and ever increasing volume of cases relating to direct and indirect taxes. Although, many lists are published on various websites, some of them cover broad subject areas, are time-consuming to download, available only in French, or updated spasmodically. Given the increasing importance of EU law in the field of taxation, the absence of a comprehensive list of cases on direct and indirect taxes in English and in one place presents obvious difficulties to anyone searching for EU solutions to UK tax problems. This document, available to be downloaded in Adobe (pdf) format, has been prepared to fill the gap. It provides information regarding the Court of Justice judgments given since 16 December 1960 up until the end of 1995 in a standard format.
