You are strongly recommended to follow a properly structured course of study designed specifically to prepare candidates for The Chartered Institute of Taxation examination. Courses are delivered in a number of ways.
When considering your course provider you should ask questions about
- the qualifications and expertise of the lecturers
- the number of students on the course
- the number of students sitting the examination
- examination pass rates.
Failure in the examinations is very often clearly due to a lack of preparation, especially insufficient practice at answering questions. Candidates are urged to do as much written work in their preparation as possible.
If you wish to take the CTA examinations remember to register with the Institute at least six months before you wish to sit the examination. Students should not expect the tutorial bodies to be responsible for registration.
