Re-registration as a Student

If you need to re-register as a student of the Institute (there is no need to re-apply for Confirmation of Eligibility) please do so via the online Student Registration form where you can also apply for a credit against a CTA exam paper.

You will need to make payment of £150 for registration and the fees for any credits applied for. You must apply for re-registration before the deadline for entry to the exam session you want to sit (last day of the preceding August for the November exams and the last day of preceding February for the May exams).

Students currently registered with the Association of Taxation Technicians who have completed the Association's exams and wish to register as students of the CIOT may apply to transfer the unexpired period of their registration to the Institute. The only requirement is completion of the online Request for Transfer form. No fee is payable for transfer of registration. You should be aware that the Institute's registration period is three years as opposed to the Association's five year registration, therefore only a period up to three years from the date when you registered as an ATT student can be transferred to the CIOT.
