Managing Director - Gabelle
Paula is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser and has spent 17 years advising on tax. She has worked in partnership with accountants for more than ten years helping them provide tax solutions to their clients. Tax is her passion and when she is not solving tax problems for accountants and their clients she is writing or lecturing on tax. She has been referred to as ‘an agony aunt for accountants’ and is always happy to discuss a tax problem. She is on the committee for the London Branch of the CIOT and is a member of the SME tax committee for the ICAEW.
By 29 Paula was a Partner and Head of Tax for Numerica’s southern region covering Southampton, Bristol and Worthing, the UK’s 14th largest accountancy firm. At 31 she joined Chiltern as Head of Tax Support for Professionals and was elected to the main board; that tax business was later bought out by BDO, becoming a Partner in that firm; at 37, she is currently Managing Director of Gabelle, a new tax consultancy.
- Throughout her career she has demonstrated both excellent technical skills and strong leadership skills. She has a proven track record in growing teams and revenue streams.
