Tax Partner - BDO
Anna is a FCCA and CTA, focusing mainly on advising entrepreneurial clients on shareholder and corporation tax issues. Latterly, she has also been dealing with partnership taxation issues. One of Anna’s skills is the ability to explain complex issues with absolutely clarity; she has excellent interpersonal skills which help her develop strong relationships with clients. She has the skill set to advise both the business and its owner having regard to the interaction between the corporate/ partnership and the personal tax issues. She is able to think strategically and likes to challenge appropriately, bringing fresh ideas to both clients and the team.
With experience with British Rail’s Management Trainee programme, qualifying as an ACCA in four years, by age 22, and Ernst & Young, where she passed ATII at her first attempt, Anna joined BDO’s Eastern Region nine years ago, in tax consultancy, as a Director.
- Six months pregnant, Anna went through the selection process and made Partner in July 2007. Shortly thereafter Anna became the sole Eastern Region Partner and recruited a second Partner before having her second child.
- Anna moved to London in January 2011 as a Partner in the professional services team, using her previous experience and developing her skills in partnership taxation.
