The Low Incomes Tax Reform Group has launched a new website providing information for advisers on tax credits, child benefit and other ‘products’ of HMRC.
The site – www.revenuebenefits.org.uk – is a partnership between LITRG and rightsnet, the leading providers of information on social welfare law.
LITRG Chairman John Andrews explains:
“LITRG has wanted to do more to support advisers who have to grapple with the “giving” side of HMRC activity, in particular, tax credits and child benefit. So we are pleased to announce the launch of our new website.
“This website has been created with the financial support of HMRC and in partnership with Rightsnet and we will progressively add to its content in the coming months.
“Taxes are complex, but tax credits are even more so. There is a wide array of advisers who do not deal with HMRC on a daily basis, but who need to give appropriate and accurate advice to the millions of vulnerable people who are entitled to benefits which are administered by that government department.
“We have tried to bring together on one website most of the information that such advisers will need in order to give the best advice possible. We encourage advisers to browse the site and to provide us with feedback.”
