As part of the CIOT’s Tax Advice Week, a tax debate will take place on Wednesday 17 October where MPs from all three parties will take questions from an invited audience. David Gauke (Con ) and Julia Goldwsorthy (Lib Dem) will be joined on the panel by John Cullinane, immediate past President of the CIOT. The debate will be chaired by John Whiting, former CIOT President.

Rob Ellerby, CIOT President, says: “The debate is a chance for politicians to address tax issues without the pressure of having to score party political points. It also gives the MPs an opportunity to hear the concerns of an audience made up of tax advisers, senior civil servants and business leaders.”

The debate is sponsored by Sweet & Maxwell, The Taxation Channel and Tenon. It is hosted by Lewis PR.
