The Chartered Institute of Taxation, Tax Faculty of the ICAEW and Confédération Fiscale Européenne (CFE) are holding their first ever joint conference in September. The conference is entitled “Creating a competitive corporate tax environment for Europe”. The conference takes place the day before the CFE’s annual General Assembly.
Paul Morton, CFE President, says: “I am delighted that we are holding this conference on such an important topic. A competitive corporate tax environment in Europe is not only important for those working on corporate tax but for everyone in European countries who benefits from successful economic activity.”
The speakers include Christopher Heady (OECD), Professor Doctor Heinz-Klaus Kroppen (Deloitte & Touche), Stephen Bond (Institute of Fiscal Studies and University of Oxford), Tom Neale (European Commission), Francesca Lagerberg (ICAEW Tax Faculty), Edward Troup (HM Treasury) and Dave Hartnett (HMRC).
Paul Morton adds: “We look forward to welcoming tax professional colleagues from all over Europe, and even from Asia and the rest of the world, to join us in London for the conference.”
The conference is a joint Chartered Institute of Taxation and ICAEW Tax Faculty event under the auspices of the CFE. It is being sponsored by CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business.
