CIOT Announces Tax Advice Week for 2006 The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) announces that it will hold its Tax Advice Week in 2006 (Monday 16 – Friday 20 October).

Tax Advice Week builds on the activities of CTA Day that took place in September 2005.

Peter Kempster, President of the CIOT, says: “CTA Day was such a success that the CIOT has decided to hold a week that focuses on tax advice.”

CTA Day saw the launch of a local schools competition, debates up and down the country on tax issues and a public information stand at Victoria station.

Peter Kempster adds: “Some of the activities will be repeated. There will be some new initiatives as well. Overall, we will be showing our commitment to the importance of obtaining professional tax advice and the need for education in taxation among the general public.”
