CIOT 75th Anniversary Celebrations mark looking forward as well as back Peter Kempster, the new Charted Institute of Taxation’s (CIOT) President, outlined the events that will be happening around the country over the coming months as the CIOT celebrates the 75th anniversary of its foundation. Peter is with the City commercial law firm Nabarro Nathanson. He specialises in taxation and finance of property investment.
Peter says: “While it is right for the CIOT to celebrate its history and current success, it is also important to use the anniversary to look forward and set the future strategy for our continued strength.”
Peter states he will also continue the excellent work established by his immediate predecessor, John Beattie, with regards to promoting the CIOT, its accredited tax experts (Chartered Tax Advisers - CTAs) and associated brand values.
Peter comments: “Today, brand and brand values play a major part in how organisations communicate their purpose to the outside world. It is very exciting to see the CIOT firmly establish itself with the CTA Day and other events in 2005 to celebrate our 75th anniversary. I will be examining how we can carry this forward and meet the aims and objectives of the CIOT.”
Peter is the third solicitor in the recent history of the CIOT to hold the post of President.
Peter began his role on 10th May. Other changes at the CIOT are John Cullinane of Deloitte & Touche becoming the Deputy President and Robert Ellerby of Ernst & Young becoming the Vice-President.
